As long as there 11 rooms or more it can be registered as a hotel, if it has less than 11 rooms it cannot be registered and in theory is illegal, there are no laws on how long or short rental periods are.

If you are going to ask for an investment on the forum, here is some advice.

 

1. Provide background information, your experience and skills.

 

2. Draw up a transparent detailed business plan - including projections, size of investment

 

3. Provide basic details such as where the ST rooms are, built already or being built freshly?

 

4. Come on the forum daily, build up friendships, show your face at events, let people get to know you.

 

5. How much money will you be investing yourself, this is very important. I wouldn't invest with a sole manager of a small company who doesn't have a majority share.

 

6. Please explain "why are you that man"

 

7. Why can't you get your family/friends to invest with you?

Alot of people are looking for a way to stay in thailand but without any idea to do it, who obviously have more cashflow than I do myself? So I have to protect my idea just a little... hope some can understand.

Con. You cant just introduce yourself and ask for investors. You dont know as much as you think you do. Earn trust first.

Apart from the bit of fluff, you have not given any details.

 

The first part of being an entrepreneur is to attract an investor with concept and figures.

 

From experience, I have seen many of these short sentence ideas and quite frankly, they never work...

 

If you want to attract investors, you will need a business plan with a lot of information... Then you can condense it and list it on the forum. However, 6 posts does not give you credibility...

get on the dragons den, i am sure they would invest, it sounds like a winner or would it be...dont like your attitude, no figures, no projections. for that reason i am out, now F### off.

how do you suppose it is a fraud or a con when there will be contracts written up, and businesss structures set up following the do process of law? I'm not asking anyone to wire money into my account, no one would be stupid enough to do that...construction cost are paid on a stepped basis per phase of construction, you do not pay a lump sum at once.

I am sorry your new to this forum and getting a hard time, but when someone comes out the blue and asks for someone to give them money as an investment, it puts peoples backs up. If I was you I would stick around and make some contacts, people need to know you first. I wouldn't invest or work with someone that I don't get on with.

 

You don't have to reveal all your info, just as much as you can, its not like its a idea that is going to be copied. Business plans are for the investors, in this case its individuals, does that mean you are prepared to send it to those interested? Just trying to help.
