hi guys,

i was there in january but the name was a different one. is the owner from australia. or is there a new owner now?

 

Used to be called 'Storm Bar'. Now there is a big Aussie flag flying in front with a new owner. They have a live band, not sure if every night or not.

Loved the old STORM bar, 24hr opening was good for me strolling back to the Irish Rovers just across the street and having a night cap, and then there were the lovely ladies I believe they are all still working for the new owner

I stayed at the Billabong for 3 nights the end of may.will book again no problem.good rooms, good breakfast, good staff (many fit ones)and even sorted my booking out as i was a month in front.greg the aussie even put the football on for us english.top manager kung sorted anything out for us (thanks).had a great time and a good laugh there with greg and his staff.many thaks jim

If memory serves right I spent at least one hour there everyday drinking Changs with Greg and the boys

Belive it or not but this is one of the few establishments in the world where I am regarded as a "Prefered Customer" - suck on that guys

I cant be arsed to read this whole thread but Billabong is a great place for the money and they do a great breakfast , rock house and the Drunken duck are all about the same for room size and value for your baht
