China town Bangkok hotel recommendations

Hi all 

I'm not familiar with China town area in Bangkok. I was wanting to stay and look around the area for a couple of nights. Any recommendations for a hotel close to things in the area would be appreciated. Up to about 1500baht. For 2 people, clean, safe and near shops,markets, food and the culture.

Shanghai Mansion if you are wanting to get into the China Town vibe. Rema residence looks not too shabby but never been there to be honest. Its in your price bracket. However its only 25 -45 mins in a taxi to Nana....

hotel Royal Bangkok is more value for money, also located on the busiest Yaowarat Road, at the heart of Bangkok Chinatown. 

Both Shanghai Mansion & Hotel Royal Bangkok are within walking distance from the Wat Mangkon MRT subway station and a short walk to the recently very popular tourist street, Song Wat Road. Song Wat Road is a nice place to watch sunset in front of Chao Phraya River.
