Would be interested to know if the current ME situation is causing changes/flight changes?

I am very happy my flights take me nowhere near the ME.

My flight in November from the UK to BKK is via Dubai with Emirates

I'm monitoring the situation closely but it ain't looking good !

I'm hoping things do not escalate much in the new few weeks

We all are - and not just because of your flight!

A little detour avoiding possible missile airspace added 20 minutes to my flight home from Doha on Wednesday morning.

Don’t think you’ll have a problem, the “intelligent” Muslim States won’t get involved, the western money in Dubai etc they won’t loose it

will add a bit to the flight from europe, unless you have a connection in tehran take a parachute in case

Nothing to worry about really.

Just a simple pre arranged detour from what would have been the normal flight plan.

I imagine most other airlines on near identical flight plans to/from ME hubs to ThebUK and Norther Europe would have been doing the same, similar to avoiding Ukranian/Russian airspace for the last 2 plus years.

My FA mentioned it as soon as I'd boarded and got in my seat, whilst taking my drinks orders, asking when i'd like to dine and what would I prefer from the menu.

Very reassuring, thank you

Looks like flights from Europe are being rerouted south of Israel over Egypt and Saudi into Doha, Dubai etc

Any info on how much time that would typically add to the flight from UK to Dubai ?

Yes - that cluster above Saudi Arabia on the flightradar map featured a lot of Qatar

I was looking at QR18 Dublin to Doha on Wednesday to Friday of this week and flights due to land in Doha with a flight time of 7hrs 5 mins  actually took 7hrs 19, 7nrs 28 and 7hrs 32 so not that much more time.

From Doha it was just a tad under 20 minutes.
