Just left a Starbucks out of concern for my health.

It’s a place I visit practically every day. Bought my coffee and settled down to plan the rest my day. Four Koreans and one Thai girl come in. All except the girl, sneezing and coughing continuously. Two of them actually look ill, covered in a sheen of sweat and listless.

Didn’t even finish my coffee, just left. Don’t want the rest of my trip ruined.

How can anyone begin to think that this is acceptable behaviour?  Disgraceful.

Very common, no one cares about anyone but themselves anymore.

Just the other day I saw an 81 year old on tv who had already tested positive for covid, no mask, shaking hands, whispering in people's ears, then got on his plane, not caring how many people he just infected.

People used to smoke in communal areas too.

Not being disrespectful, but this post is another sign of the times on how much people have changed.

Used to require fever to be sent home from school.  Covid really gave people ptsd.

If someone is hacking or sneezing to much, I might leave but Id 4get about it 5 seconds later lol. Not a health scare in ny book🙂

if they were clearly unwell, with symptoms like sneezing and coughing, I will stay the fuck away from them too 🤒

Just an observation.

Has anyone noticed how common upper respiratory sickness is in Pattaya?

So many people coughing, sneezing and blowing.

And it's hard to avoid considering the intermingling circles of Pattaya, not to mention the poor air conditions.

People often cough all over me in the UK. I must say, that's one good thing about USA. They don't do that. Of course, Canadians are the best on this matter. I f**kking love the Canadians.

It's always a little disconcerting when she turns away from me to start coughing, just after having her tongue down my throat.

She's not coughing, she's retching. 😃

Bit surprised being Koreans how they weren't masked up.

Remember well before COVID, 25 years ago in the west, taking public transit, etc. how immigrants from east Asia would mask up whenever they got the slightest hint of a cold.  During COVID I was hoping that good practice would spread to rest of society moving forward.  I'd say people are a bit more comfortable doing that, which is at least a small step in the right direction, though certainly room for improvement.

Pattaya is a different animal.

Farangs don't want to lose a day of their holiday to a common cold or sickness so they power through; go to the sauna and get over the counter meds.

Ladies don't want to lose a day of finance to a common cold or sickness, considering they already lose a few days to their periods.

It creates for a lot of sickness in a relatively small town.

I don't see this anywhere else I travel. Circles aren't this close and if you are sick, you nurse it.

Ouch

But she'd just been raving about how handsome I am and how she loves kissing me.

I always thought the heat would kill off any diseases no matter what. Going outside to heat up all the viruses inside my body just gives me a sunburn; yet another thing to ruin my time.

The masking up is now not frowned upon as much, so I appreciate when somebody is masked up when they know they are carrying a huge viral load down their throat. If a girl is sick and coughing, she should probably stay home for a while. I am sure there is some sick leave allowed under the circumstances

Ya those are good points...though some girls likewise power through their periods too 😄

Guess I've been fortunate enough to not get sick in town yet 🤞
