Walking Street restaurants?

Recommended Posts

Arriving Pat's late May & not a NEWBIE. Will be staying on WS for ist time. Not familiar with WS resraurants & looking for good place for breakfast and/or dinner.

Have read somewhere that food at P72 is reasonable & good. Can anyone confirm?

Any recommendations for good, reasonable food in WS area appreciated. (I am not a seafood person & I already have experienced buffets at Lek, Apex, & Diana.)

MANY THANX!

Sandman,

There are so many really good places to eat on Walking Street. Most will be expensive, because they are mainly for tourist. Lobster Pot has really good seafood, I like the open restaurant near Marine disco, the price is really good and the food is great.

Secrets is an option...and you can get advice in addition to food.

Ate in there on Thursday with a mate....good burger but expensive and only the waitress spoke to us.......second (and last) time that has happened in that place...2 hours sat looking at the boring football

My mind wandered and never came back ;)

Just had a lunch at an Indian/Arab restaurant on Walking Street last Saturday afternoon. It is well down WS, I believe a bit past the Soi with XZone and Club Boesche.

It was Chicken Marsala, but really wasn't very impressed. Not seasoned well, chicken not especially tender, etc. I've had Indian food in a couple other places in Pattaya, and have been pleased, up until Saturday.

Don't have a name.

If you are walking into Walking Street from the beach theres a bar on the right next to the beach which does a nice breakfast or lunce, its facing the sea and has thai boxing rings that have kickboxing in the evenings, you have to walk through the bar area on the promanard and the restaurants at the end of the pier, its great, had a few nice meals there

I once took a beatiful BG to one of the seafood ones that back onto the sea off WS, think theres about 3 near each other. Best seafood i ever had and good value i thought. (Think its a blue fronted place)

You cannot beat the outdoor place just off WS for a good feed when drunk late at night, very cheap. Have never ever known the name but its a big open place if anyone can help.

has enybody eaten in La Notta?

I have. An overpriced tourist trap for sure. Food and service were awful, but fortunately the wine was good (to wash down the

bad taste of the meal).

P72 had cheap but low-quality food a couple years ago. Haven't eaten there since. Dream hotel behind WS on 2nd road has very good bacon-and-eggs for 120 baht. The Beer Garden has good food, slow service, cute waitresses, free wifi, and is a wonderfully COOL place to spend an afternoon. Nang Nual and Right Spot have good food for dinner but a little pricey. Finally, try the outdoor seafood restaurant behind WS in Marine Plaza - very good food and you can view all the girls arriving for work!

The wife and I were very happy for 20 years, then we met.

Yes dine there every year whem visiting August, great and expensive but I use it as a treat.

Secrets also has good food at reasonable prices. One BM says he will never visit again after two visits as only the waitress spoke to him. My understanding is the girls are told not to molester the customers unless they get the eye etc so his bad luck for not showing interest and honestly they wont miss his business

If you like Thai food the restaurant opposite the Marine Seafood (Market?) is the best restaurant for value. Same view of the working girls arriving, food arrives in less than 5 minutes and the cost is below anything else in the area except the food carts. Have eaten there several times in last month and can recommend it for anyone who likes Thai food.

Thanks, will check that out! Marine seafood is a bad memory! I ate there with friends and was very sick that night. The seafood we had, did not taste fresh.

Beach Road end Pattaya Beer Garden, middle Walking Street Molly Malones (does a breakfast 99 Baht), far end French restaurant directly opposite La Notte sorry forgot the name. I found La Notte to be over priced and not to my taste plenty of good and inexpensive French restaurants in Pattaya there's a couple in the Soi next to Tuk Com worth trying. As an example the have a menu du jour daytime 2 course 169 Baht evening 3 course 245 Baht.
