Downside is I believe the pool.. compared to Tims.

1869 bht on latestays, this is the daily rate. Should be able to secure a better for a 1 Month stay.

Latestays no longer includes tax. I know the deluxe room is going for 2300 on wotif for one night including breakfast.

i booked a one bedroom suite from 31oct for 150 nights for 300,000bt which is 2000bt a night looks like i got a good deal direct with hotel.no increase for christmas and new year which is why i am moving from the sandy springs they want 500bt extra over christmas and new year.

Just had a four week holiday sprung on me at work...the shits heh??..lol

And got right onto Agoda and booked a deluxe for 3 weeks starting next sat..worked out at 2035bt a night($70 aus)...so yeh life pretty good ;)

Just wanted to ask a stupid question...ive seen mentioned that they have a WIRED internet,..does this just mean that i bring my laptop and hook it into a provided connection??(ok ok ..im completly coputor unsavy!)

I haven't seen that their internet is wired, but if it is then yes you bring your laptop and connect to their provided connection. You may want to bring your own cable.

I stayed there back in November 2008 in a 1 BR suite and thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't bring my laptop but there were 2 (very old) computers you could use in the lobby for free. I would definitely bring my own cable to connect. At the time, breakfast was buffet style but they would cook eggs to order. Since it was my first (and only time - to date) time there I appreciated the fact they kept the girl's ID. The room safe was also more comforting. My room was on the 3rd floor right near the pool, but it was closed for a few days. The pool is very small (IMO) but the pics on their website make it look huge! I wasn't disturbed by the noise on Soi Diana at all. There was a guy who I think booked excursions and what not in the lobby who was real cool, even saw him out on WS one night. Plan on staying there during next trip for sure!

I have walked past this hotel many times and now I'm thinking about booking a Studio room in November. Does anyone know if there is a safe in the room and if there is free WiFi in room?

Can I just add does the shower head in a studio room have a fixing where it can attatched to the wall. Had various reports that it is hand held. Sounds ridiculous for that standard of hotel that you don't have the facility to shower with both hands free.

Very nice hotel.

Great location.

With my budjets if I was on a short trip its ok but if it is a long trip you can find another hotel that is ok for a lot less money.

I have stayed in all the LK's & the Rennaisance is the one I like the best.

Just booked the LK Ren suite for 5 night 10-15. I went ahead and booked because I wasn't sure they'd have rooms.

 

Thank you all for the recommendation. Looking forward to it. I used to stay at the Sandy Springs but for a basic room (and it's basic) want 2300.00 a night!! (1600 bt plus 500 high season fee). They wouldn't discount the internet rate and I've stayed there every trip for since around 2003. Oh well...

I found it very nice, very central and no problems bringing a few ladies back.

I've been staying at this hotel over the past week in a Deluxe room and I must say I am a little bit disappointed with my room this time around. Having stayed in a Superior room in June/July I thought this place was the best value for money going around, particularly with its location. However, this time around I have experienced problems every day - one night I had no hot water which they were not able to fix until the next day (BF was not impressed lol), next night both taps were hot water, hand-held shower keeps on detaching, cockroaches running around in the bathroom, toilet does not flush properly, in-room wi-fi signal was broken for 2 days, remote to the tv also broke.....list goes on. Maybe i'm just unlucky as I re-iterate my previous stay was fantastic. I do still love the location of this place and the price is reasonable, particularly during low season but next high season I will probably have to reconsider other hotels.

this hotel is victim of his success, i'm not surprised so far...

 

1 or 2 years ago, i made a thread report with pics about that (do a research), i had some dry sperm on the sofa... i refused the room and get a new one.
