5.8 kW when charging at 16 Amps.   Does that mean your car has a 360 volt battery?

My OCD is happy to see your wife let you remove the  protective cling film on the dashboard display. 👍

When we did a Neta test drive more than a year ago, one of the things that impressed me was the sound system. The car we bought was way bad IMO but yesterday discovered how to modify using equalizer and adjusting speaker gain. The car doesn't have a visible radio as such but does have AM/FM receiver controlled by the big touch screen and I set about 15 FM stations here in Udon for wife. My preferred entertainment source is my iPhone using Bluetooth (preferred) or car play. The learning experience continues, but for a little cheep car it offers a lot.

6 baht/unit, WOW not sure but very close to what we pay at house. 32.1Kwh is a little over 75% charge or about 270 kilometers = 1.56b/k - not to bad.

Over the road handling is less than good, maybe after market suspension upgrades and better quality tires may be an improvement, but for town use it's fine as is.

I am paying 4.97 baht per unit in my house right now using 1186 units (yes, the house is a P.O.S. and I am moving out in one month to a house with solar/battery and will feed back to the grid). I guess 1 baht/unit isn't so bad as a tariff to use their infrastructure.

Electric is so cheep here as compared to US twenty years ago I never took time to check actual cost, guess next bill should  do the math.

Just got my bill for the month yesterday. Total was 2,501B for 614 units which works out to 4.07/unit.

Here at the townhouse in Udon the power is much more reliable/stable and out outlets are on 20amp breakers so I bumped the draw to 18amps but as can be seen it's only drawing 16.9A. Thinking I can move the setting to 20A and not trip the breaker. Monday the crew that installs the FREE Neta charge box and they quote 11400b to do the installation. Partially the quote extra expense is due to the fact our main breaker box is way busy and they are going to run wire the meter to a 40A breaker which I like as it will be independent of the main house breaker. The reality is, we could get by without the faster charging, but it only costs a bit more to go first class.

Remember the 80 / 20 rule.

Like phones etc, car batteries quickly charge up to 80%, its the remaining 20% that extends the time charging by more than 2/3rds.

Cars not being used that much are more than able to just charge to 80%, giving you ample charge for the majority of your day to day use.

If using level 3 (DC) charging this will be the case, as our car charges at 100-120 KWH until 80% then drops to 80 KWH and at 90% will drop to 10-12 KWH, consequently when charging rate is less that 10-12 KWH there is no further drop or slow down till fully charged.

I bought a V2L for the Neta and was having difficulty getting it turned on. Searching the net finally found a vid that I could understand. If any is trying to turn on a V2L just go to A/C page and turn off and then go to charging page, touch center button and wala, plug in an appliance.

The free Neta charge box is a done deal and although satisfied think the "free" is a bit of a come on IMO. No app to monitor progress and not sure if scheduling is possible but there are safety teachers built in so no need to monitor it just something I like to do. They did a bang up professional job on the installation and the wife must have been impressed too as saw her give a tip after paying. All and all - happy campers here.

First test to the newly installed free Neta home charge. Charging start 4:44pm, 12% remaining and 100% shut down some time between 11:00 and 11:15, so well within advertised 8hr 0-100% in 1hr. I was able to monitor house V at 224 but the charger is on an independent circuit powered directly from the PEA 100amp meter. Thinking having power supply to charge box independent of house load a worthwhile investment.

NETA "truck" loaded for the Udon-Surin run.

So, the trip down to Surin ended up as a bit of a clusterfuck. Got to take some responsibility as I was distracted and failed to  remind driver of planned recharge station. Ended up somewhere in Buri Ram providence and wife managed to find a PEA charge station in the sticks but only putting out about 50A. She was impatient and wanted to stop and look for foster charge at Satouk - me, I wanted to wait out a sure thing. But off we went and we arrived in Satuk at 6% 18clicks and buy the time we found the charge point it was

and we could not get it to work. Now the wife is on the phone with PEA trying to get help and they advised to wait 15 minutes for a reset. Another lady tried to charge and no joy and even though it was supposed to be reset, same same for us. Told the wife unless we were able to charge we would have to get a truck to take the car to a place to recharge. Another guy shows up and he began to charge his car and now wife is able to charge also. Here's what we learned. There ia a red button labeled "Emergency" and the fellow pushed and rotated that button and it "resets" the charging unit. Why it isn't labeled as such I don't know but next time problems arise that will be number 1 thing on the list to try. The 32A charge point we installed at the house is useless as voltage drop at the house won't allow it. Tried to explain to the wife the folks in her village are getting ripped off as they pay the same price as folks in town that get the rated service and in the village they only get a portion of the product. Tried to explain the "grease wheel theory" to her and suggest that if PEA can't deliver the product they should insist in paying less. Tomorrow we head back to Udon and going that way isn't as challenging in terms of charging facilities. So far the car has far exceeded my expectations performance wise for the price (btw Neta has dropped the price 20kbt since we bought) but we have a fresh battery and as time goes on thinking we won't see the low level performance we've been experiencing.

Surin-Udon uneventful piece of cale. Here's what we see for over the road travel. The 382k range may happen if driving in town speed, but just like any mode of transportation the faster you go the more energy you use. Just a WAG but I often see speeds 100-110k's and this results in actual range of roughly 260-290k's, so just like my airplane depending on how far the destination is, going more slowly may illuminate a fuel stop, thus arriving sooner. The car has a "sport mode" for hi way driving which allows a bit more energy input to the traction motor when needed and of course uses even more energy. But still quite happy with the car as it is showing it preforms good enough to do the job we bought for and a bit more.

When I left to go to Pattaya 8 weeks ago the battery for the Neta was at 83% and returning today checked and was still reading 83%. I'm sure there has to be some loss but since it doesn't have decimals, guess i'll never know.

Great news if that is the case, but suggest you go for a 30km drive to see if it drains quickly.

Be a useless test as the faster you drive an EV the more energy it consumes per kilometer.

They are a good purchase for anyone living in a country where it is legal to use them.

Thousands driven in China.

2 warnings;

1. Ensure the balance is even with the passengers

2. Avoid potholes!!!
