A tracking cookie is a piece of data that lets a web server know something about your usage of a site. It may be the last item you viewed or your preference for a sort order.

"Up To You" :Hug1:

If it's from a site you trust, no harm leving them.

Well Norton tells me they are bad so i boot them. i aint very techy when it comes to all that and i've TWICE had my PC fried by cunts off boards :beer9: so better safe than sorry

Cheers for the info

No problem.

I used to believe what Norton told me many years ago, but find products like Norton so stifling and resouce hungry now that I won't use them. I have a good free AntiVirus checker and a couple of freeware scanners that I run once a week for spyware checking..

fair enough amigo. But being a bit slow when it comes to that side of PC's i tend to do what i'm told. I know that the old types of norton were not what they were cracked up to be but i was told by a few lads that are well clued up when i bought this lap top about a month ago that the 2007 norton was spot on and it was half price with the lap top too so i went along with them.

I do not think much of Norton anti virus, it tends to clog up your PC and makes it run slower. There is no need to buy any of that security software because you can get it free on the net. If you want an antivirus just google AVG and if you want a firewall google Zone Alarm. :LMFO:

Mate, as i've said i am not very good at all that stuff with PC's but i keep hearing that many conflicting stories about this anti virus and that anti visur blah blah blah, i bought Norton because the kid i trust says it's good so i got it.
