Do HIV positive BG's take Anti-Retro Virals

I wondered if HIV positive BG's who continue to work take ARVs. I know they are available free from the Thai government but I suspect few HIV positive BG's would take them until they become symptomatic and it is too late. My experience of BG's is that they would tend to bury their heads in the sand and pretend nothing is wrong even after a positive test or simply give up and not care. Also ARV's can have nasty side effects and are not suited to people with unhealthy, chaotic lifestyles, exactly what the life a BG leads. Drug addicts in the west for example have a poor record of sticking to ARVs.
