A brief review of the "Pars Place" guesthouse

Odense

Recommended Posts

I just stayed a week at Pars Place and I thought I would do a quick write up.

At 700 thb/night the rooms are nice and spacious and well appointed. The bed was a little too soft for my taste – but I know that most people like it softer than I do.

There is a TV and a DVD player and an electric kettle (with 2 mugs) – and you will be given 2 free bottles of water per day + Nescafe sticks (or I am sure tea bags) for two mugs a day.

There is a restaurant (and an internet cafe) connected to the guesthouse but the only thing I tried was their “check of” breakfast which was good quality and really good vfm at 100 baht. I saw others having thers meals there and the food looked really good – and the customers seemed to enjoy it.

Ín my opinion another good point for Pars Place is the host couple – Par and Bernie. They used to run a popular guest house/restaurant in Phuket – but decided that Pattaya was the place to be (many of us would agree with that ;-) )

I did not have too much contact with Par (I am guessing that she is responsible for the food quality though) but Bernie is a really friendly Ozzie with experience from the hospitality industry and a very friendly way to receive any complaints you might have.

All in all I do recommend the place and will most likely stay there again.

I can't seem to insert a link just now – but here is the URL:

Looks like a good place for the value. However, Third Rd is too far out for my taste. Moreover, their beds only come in Queen size, a deal breaker for me as I require king size.

this place is guest friendly?

Yes it is

- and while 3 rd. road IS further out than most places there is still only just over a 1000 meters to the beach - and that must be the beach at the entrance to Walking Street :D

Hello,

I just come back from Thailand. I was in Phuket a few times but this time was my first time in Pattaya.

I found Par's Place on the internet and decided to book a room there for three weeks.

I must say tha I don't regret it and to stay there is the best what could have happened to me.

Bernie is the best tourguide that I can imagine. He took me out almost every night and showed me around all over Pattaya. Some of these bars I never would have found on my own.

I can't complain about my room. It was cleaned and the towels were changed every day. Compared to some rooms I have stayed in Thailand before this was a real luxury room and I think it is absolutely worth the money.

In fact the guesthouse is not too far from Walking Street. To get there we always took the Baht bus right on the corner nad it was less than 5 minutes to get there. Several times I even walked home pass the market in South Pattaya road.

If I will go to Pattaya again there is no other place where I would like to stay !

Regards,

Michael

recently spent 20 nights at Pars Place and can recommend this small very friendly guest house.

Located in the quiet well lit Soi LK Pavillion only 50 metres off the baht bus route on Pattaya Tai (South Road) I found the location great for public transport links, sleeping in, wifi connectivity and generally chilling out.

Room quality was good and very guest friendly its the small things that make holidays memorable or horrible and my stay was made easier by having facility to make coffee in the room, good lighting at a full height mirror in the bathroom, being able to boil hot water for shaving (cold water shaves just rip my skin) "borrowing" a fan to supplement the air con and having some simple balcony furniture to enjoy sitting out and getting sat on for a little alfresco sex. Also had in-room safe and very good wifi availability which was strong enough signal strength to use my laptop in the room and at the pool of the LK Pavillion which is available for Par Place guests to use.

Paying guest house rates and having a clean and tidy pool readily available and a matter of 25 metres away was a huge bonus to me and during my low season visit the largest number of people in the pool at any one time was only 4 so plenty of space for chilling out and cooling of.

Beds are Queen size rather than King size and are more comfortable than they look at first impressions - also I found a Queen size bed gives more inter-relationship with overnight visitors and easily accommodated 3 people. In 2008 with a king size bed the sleeping arrangements tended to be one person on the two edges of the bed and a lack of action in the middle with the smaller bed the sleeping becomes far more intimate in my view

All in all good guesthouse, great easy safe location with the bonus of in room coffee and a readily available pool
