Crystal Bay / Mountain Shadow

Has anyone played these 2 courses recently?

They were always part of our itinerary years ago but course condition and crappy facilities over the past 5 or 6 years has turned us off them. I remember our last game at Crystal Bay when the greens had about 4 different grasses on them.

I just noticed a pop up in Facebook about these 2 clubs and the photos of the courses look pretty good.

Wouldn't mind revisiting if there's been some serious improvements to both course and clubhouse.

Condition wise they ain't great as they could be but they are still more than playable 

Clubhouses are run down and have seen better days. 

You want a cheap game of golf without the crowds then can recommend 

You want to spend some baht play a quality course then there are other options

They weren't great 5 or 6 years ago , so I guess still not much work done to improve them.

We played Bangpra in August this year and I must say the improvements (course and clubhouse) there were exceptional. Bangpra was another course we crossed off our list a few years ago, but now definitely back on the list.

Bangpra a great course one of the original 3 in Pattaya area. Un fortunatley management now allows 8 balls to play, yep a fucking 8 ball. get caught behind one of them an it dont matter how good the course. Shame but the main reason we avoid the place
