Just been on to Southall Travel website.

They have EVA at £491 LHR-BKK for my trip June/July.

I have not seen EVA sub £500 LHR for a long time.

I have already booked with Jet, via Bombay.

But if i had booked my ticket today it would have cost me less to go direct.

Just got even better,Qatar had ads in paper today for flights for £299,I fly from Manchester and managed to find one going out 29th May coming back 18th June,so even though I've only been back 6 weeks from the last trip, couldn't resist that offer,so roll on the next 6 weeks!

Have you checked out the stopover times in Doha with those prices though?

I managed to book mine with stopover times of about 2 hours, but SOME i have seen with Qatar..................... :24::o

I seen some with a 28 hour flight timing, so assume the stopover to be horendously long. Even a 2 hour stopover in Doha is too much for some people, lol !!

it's sooo tempting...

a word on etihad via lastminute: i didn't actually think i could change the dates on the flights. typically, on the night before i was going home i thought 'i'm staying', but the etihad call centre were adamant that they had to check with the london office first (expect a 24 hour delay) before they would know for sure if the ticket was changeable.

so, a few angry calls later and some frantic checking at travel agents and online (23000 baht for a new flight home) i finally got a new representative on the line who said 'that would be fine' and it only cost me £75!!! 'when would i like to go?' - next week - 'fine, that's booked'. even called me back on my thai mobile when i got cut off for some reason.

i went from being a complete etihad hater to a complete etihad lover!!

i was wondering about air miles - what program/airline is the best in this regard when it comes to thailand? (let's face it - i'll be going there on a regular basis in the coming years i suspect).
