Headless body found in the waters off Larn Island

Police Lieutenant Colonel Chatchai from Pattaya Police Station joined a Pattaya Sea Rescue Unit on Tuesday Afternoon as it responded to a call from Fishermen who discovered a headless corpse floating in the sea close to the popular Larn Island. Eventually the body was recovered and it was thought the person had been dead for at least 2 weeks due to the state of decomposition. There were few clues as to the identity of the person who was wearing only a pair of shorts. At this time Police are also unsure if the body is that of a Thai or a foreigner. Forensic tests are now taking place and missing person reports are also being checked at this time.
