View Talay 8

I could not find a dedicated thread so started this one.

Has anyone got any up to date information or experience of this block. I had Christmas lunch in a restaurant on the ground floor so am aware of it's location. I stayed in VT2 on my last visit and had a look at VT5 and VT7. Seems like VT8 has 48m2 studios some knocked in to 2, so 96m2. There are 2 beds at over 140m2 but I have no interest in those.

I might visit the View Talay office on Theppraya before venturing to VT8 to see if there are any agents based there. I'm gathering information for rental now but always interested in any info on sales.

Not looked at it since before Covid but, if it’s any use, it’s not part of the VT group, as such, which is why the View Talay office in front of VT2 doesn’t handle sales there. I understand it was one of the daughters branching out on her own. There was (is?) a dedicated sales office directly in front of the building. Pretty sure % sold is still very low so it’s a quiet building. Nice pool.

There were at least 2 agents handling rentals and sales in the building when I visited. From memory, turn left as you go in and down that corridor. Got an uneasy feeling talking to one of them but the other seemed ok - don’t remember names sorry.

Hopefully, someone else will have recent info. I’m sure at least a couple of BMs have stayed there.

alot of resales so save atleast half price by avoiding the saleoffice , seen vt8 sales for below 1.5m thb nowadays .

also live there a while if you havent , stayed there in the past and the extra distance vs example vt7 vt1 and such adds upp after a while .

Yeah, it is down Beach road a fair trek. I'll take the baht bus down there and have a look around and see what restaurants are nearby.

Her name is Tukta and if she is not around her husband Sanong could be helpful. But she runs the show.

Nice pool, nice gym, some Russians. It's dated and next to either the fish market in the morning or the noisy pool from D Varee hotel next door. The fireworks at 3.30 am from the drunken gay guys at the beach on a Tuesday night sucks.

I see that as a very bad thing.  VT6 was noisy for years with all the construction from new tenants.  Even if they are several floors away it reverberates through the whole building.
