No.  Every year they ask where you are living and if you are alive.

Not as if the UK government at all levels doesn't lie non stop without fear or compunction! 

Moot point though - Passenger mandates arriving and exiting UK and Republic of Ireland are all fed back to the UK Government who know when you are in country or not, and where you last travelled to.

No! Absolutely not! I'd never suggest such a thing. Just wondering how they'd find out?

Those living abroad permanently and in receipt of a 'frozen' pension are not paying UK income tax on it, that is my understanding. I pay 20% basic rate on my pension.

Incorrect. Its taxable at your nominal rate.
