Kalasin Province to Build First Jurassic Museum

BANGKOK (Dec. 14) XINHUA - Thai northeastern province of Kalasin is

speeding up the construction of the first dinosaur museum in Thailand,

according to U.N. official press release of the Government Public

Relations Department available here Tuesday.

The Province's Governor Chairat Mapraneed was quoted as saying that the

project is aimed to create a new tourist attraction and to promote

Kalasin Province.

He said Kalasin is one of the northeastern provinces that the fossils of

dinosaurs have been found. At least two kinds of dinosaur such as

Sauropods which ate plants and Cornosaurs which ate meat have been dug

up in the northeast region.

Officials of Kalasin Province and the Mineral Resources Department have

cooperated to establish the dinosaur museum at Wat Sahawan Pookunkhao,

in Sahadsakun district. They intend to keep every piece of dinosaur

fossils which have been found in Thailand.

The museum nicknamed, "Jurassic Park," occupies about 200 rai (about 32

hectares) of land in a mountainous area. There will be 50 models of

pre-historic animals and other objects of interest such as the ancient

houses of Pue Thai tribes.

The museum is being set up as the first Jurassic Museum in Thailand to

attract local and foreign tourists, the press release noted.

The initial budget for the project is about 100 million baht ( about 2.6

million U.S. dollars), it added.

This museum's been open for a while now. I went back in 2007. Nice touristy place to visit, tickets were 30 baht each. It's a bit out of the way though, quite a ways off the main highways. A lot of schools go for field trips so if you go it's best to head over around noon or afterwards so you don't catch all the school busses.

For help or advice with Vehicle Inspections and Repair anywhere in Thailand, send me a PM!

    • For those that don't know, I did Friday meetings before many years ago,  I feel like we are missing a regular meeting for members,  I am aware guys meet at PA affiliated bars. But I want to start meeting people again, I'm inviting the guys following my YouTube also.

The meetings is a chance to get to meet each other,  I plan to be at every meeting, I also have Dean from Dive bar that has offered to help out with a crawl after.
The meetings will be  Monday  6 pm - 8 pm each week.  (The improvised bar crawl will commence at 8 p.m.  Dean will make his own plans for that.)

Due to low numbers of people in town, I will start the meetings in our bars to help our girls and managers, please check back often incase things are changed.  I will be sharing the love around town later, but Soi 6 is first on my list (including bars that are friendly competition)
If bar owners want us to have a meeting at their bar,  they need to have a minimum of 10 girls.  I'm not dragging people to empty bars for favours.
Please help us invite other members, it takes a while to get momentum.
