you get so many BM's asking about dangers and risks in thailand and pattaya. fights, mugging etc etc. i have never had any such problems in over 30 years of visiting. the most likely incidents to cause problems are much more mundane........slipping in the shower  ( esp after beer) and crossing a road in a land where such things as one way are considered optional by the locals.
