Anyone stayed recently ? Any reviews ?

seems like a good alternative to Hilton?

I'd be interested in hearing some first hand accounts on this place too. I've seen some good deals on Agoda.  Having said that, the location is far away from the action in my opinion, but it's probably quieter (which is arguably something I value more than being central to the action).

I have stayed in Mytt hotel before.

Price/value is good if you don’t mind about the location. Rooms are clean but nothing special in my opinion if you compare it with other 5 star hotels.  What I really liked was the Pippas bar. Nice atmosphere to watch the  sunset.
But now I would not book it again just because its too far away from the action for me.

If you can get it at a good price, it’s not too bad. If you don’t want to be too close to the action. The rooms aren’t that great. Nothing wrong with them, they are nice and clean and all that. But Its just a bed and a lounge, etc.

The electrical sockets near the bed aren’t universal (they are the two round prong ones if I remember correctly) and don’t have USB. Only USB is near the TV.

The roof top bar is pretty good.

TT exchange near there on beach road seems to have the best rates.

The Chao Dao cafe on beach road is pretty good to have a coffee and people watch in the morning.

Very nice hotel one of my favorites in Pattaya recommend it.  Just all around nice and professional staff.  Room clean and comfortable.

They claim to have the best rooftop bar and restaurant.

Here is a link to the menu: https://pipparestaurant.com/

I don't stay in hotels, so I can't answer the original question ... but I can add to this post.  Pippa restaurant at the top of MYTT is a *VERY* nice restaurant; great food (the best steak I've ever had in Thailand) and super nice views.  These photos are taken from the restaurant.

However, just a caveat - dinner for two (steaks) was just under 7000 baht.

Can't say that it is a bad location as it is only 3 soi away from Soi 6 and mid point between beach road and second road.  On second road you are directly in front of Central Marina.  Walking Street is only a Baht bus ride on beach road.

Assuming my trip isn't cancelled for work, I am planning to stay a few nights here in November.

I'm usually a slave to hotel points, but I am using a perk of one of my Chase credit cards to (hopefully) net a $50 statement credit by booking through their portal.

I'm paying less than $100/night for a Junior suite (looks pretty damn small to use the word "suite" 555), and that's inclusive of taxes and breakfast.

Eager to see what I think.

The location doesn't bother me -- I think it's closer to the action than the Holiday Inn, which I like.

I was interested int he Avani, but the photos of the room showed it as having a combo tub/shower.  Not a fan.

I have stayed there quite recently. It’s not a bad hotel and the rooms are fine, maybe a bit on the small side. Good water pressure for a decent shower and a separate bath tub too. Breakfast I thought was disappointing- minimal choice. I know it’s hard to get excited about breakfast  - and hard for the hotel to offer variety but it seemed limited to me.

The Pippa restaurant on the 19th floor is very nice. Great views and a nice place to have a ‘sun downer’. Food is very good - maybe a bit pricey for Thailand but a great experience.

All I all nice but not great. I will stick to the Holiday Inn when I come down from BKK for the sea air !

No first-hand knowledge but I recently considered this hotel then found a few reviews which did mention guest fees. I think a lot of places are cool if you're both dressed reasonably ok and are discreet, but implement a fee when you're drunk, loud, a slob, etc. So it's possible these were isolated incidents but also possible it is a firm policy given they are advertising a "family-friendly" resort.
