Construction on Soi Honey

Just took a walk down Soi Honey and the empty plot of land down by 2nd road had some workers on site.

Not sure if they are starting construction of a building (no heavy equipment) but if so it could be a factor for anyone staying in the hotels down that end. (directly opposite The Scenery hotel I think its called and diagonally from The Bay Breeze)

I noticed that a few days ago. It was very noisy cause of the jackhammer.

Piledriving noise seems to be less frequent now, so hopefully they a close to completion.

And it’s quiet this morning, don’t think my hangover could have taken loud pounding while eating my cheap Thai breakfast at the little restaurant next to Hemingways. :)

Oh come on. There’s been piledriving going on all over soi honey for years. Just at a slightly different noise level :07:

I stayed in Bay Breeze recently. I couldn't hear any noise in my room which was at the back of the building. I imagine it's a different story at the Soi Honey side.

The piledriving work seems to be finished. Pic is from this morning.

How loud was the noise in Bay Breeze when you stayed there? Did it bother you?

Didn’t bother me.   I was not even aware of it.   I was on the 8th floor street facing west corner.

Music from second road lasts until about 2am.

@keepitfun I was looking at Bay Breeze for my next trip in November.  Seems Bay Breeze only takes reservations 2 weeks out?  Is that true?

According to the website, it should all be done by October so I will keep an eye on it.

I emailed Bay Breeze.  They will be closed May 1st to August 1st for the renovations.  You can look for rooms after that or email them to book after August 1st.

I'm surprised nobody yet knows or has posted what's actually being built there, apart from putting piles in of course  :)

Usually there are people who know everything that's going on
