How early can you apply to renew retirement visa?

I need to renew my retirement visa.

I would like to renew it as early as possible-want to travel.

Asking the bar stool experts, some say 30 days before, some 45, so anyone on here knows?

30 days is standard....easy.

Bit more prob OK if they like your face

After that I believe it's OK to eg 3 months if you show a plane ticket showing you won't be in country at renewal time.

45 days is my understanding. If an agent is being used, then anytime is ok.

I asked this question in Maneerat agency a couple of months ago and they told me that you can do it yourself one month in advance or they can do it up to 3 months in advance.

Like many things to do with visas, there are RULES and there are RULES which can sometimes be stretched with appropriate "administration fees" and agents know how and where to pay the "administration fees"!

Yesterday, at Jomtiem, I asked the young guy with glasses, who checks the paperwork and he said 40 days.

maneerat 3 months prior to date, they even got me a 15 month multiple re-entry permit which was great, add to that free 90 day reports if required, great service all wrapped up in a day
