Hi everyone just a quick question i am a star alliance member currently a silver card holder , nothing too exciting but you do get free access to the lounge in bkk . my question is why do you have to claim missing miles to your selected airline ? i thought this is done automatically but not with eva air ? i travelled with singapore air because eva air were not operating out of europe and no they say its out of time to credit ? any luck with eva air in the past free upgrades or anything ? thanks adrian

Typically you can enter all your Star Alliance membership details for all airlines you are a member of and when you book it will give you the correct status and miles credits.

It is a pain in the ass to enter them all, but it is necessary and quicker than chasing missing miles.

Silver card is no lounge access, gold only. You got less than zero chance of a free upgrade with silver im afraid to say.
