First of all What is Mycoplasma Genitalium?

Mycoplasma genitalium (commonly known as Mgen) is a sexually transmitted bacterium that lives on the mucous epithelial cells of the urinary and genital tracts in humans.

It has one of the smallest known genomes and is one of the smallest bacteria.

Medical reports published in 2007 and 2015 state that Mgen is becoming increasingly common. Resistance to multiple antibiotics is becoming prevalent, including to azithromycin, which until recently was the most reliable treatment.

 

Signs and symptoms

Infection with Mgen produces a combination of clinical symptoms, but can be asymptomatic. It causes inflammation in the urethra (urethritis) both in men and women, which is associated with mucopurulent discharge in the urinary tract, and burning while urinating. In women, it causes cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory diseases (PID), including endometritis and salpingitis. Women may also experience bleeding after sex and it is also linked with tubal factor infertility. For men, the most common signs are painful urination or a watery discharge from the penis.

Unprotected Sex on First Date / One Night Stand with a normal Thai Office Lady at around Midnight.

 

04.05.2022 

First mild Discharge Symptoms next morning.

Immediately felt something is wrong.

 

05.05.2022

Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok.

Doc thought it must be Chlamydia. Urin & Swab PCR STD tested for EVERYTHING.

Doc gave me prophylactic ceftriaxon injection + 2 x 100 mg Doxycyclin Daily for 7 days

(Costs around 23.000 Baht / ~640 USD)

 

07.05.2022

Got my 1st Laboratory Results via Email.

Positive for Mycoplasma Genitalium & Positive for Chlamydia.

(First time i ever heard about this MGen Disease )

 

12.05.2022

End of Doxy Treatment.

Still discharge and burning while peeing.

 

14.05.2022

Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok visit again.

Doc saw my first Lab results but didn’t inform / aware me how serious and hard to treat MGen is.

He focused mainly on Chlamydia and ignored Mgen.

Maybe he was clueless. i don’t know.

But in hindsight something like this should not happen in an upper class Hospital.

He wanted to give me again a ceftriaxon injection but i declined.

i asked for a 2nd Urin & Swab PCR STD Test for EVERYTHING.

By my own wish i did not request any  Medication until i receive my 2nd Lab Results.

2nd Laboratory Results via Email.

Still Positive for Mycoplasma Genitalium & Positive for Chlamydia.

Started to intensively research about Mycoplasma Genitalium and went into a Rabbit Hole.

Testicle Pain only on the right side  started to occur.

More discharge than before.

Visit Dr. Thanomsak Anekthananon. (He is an expert on Mgen)

Showed him my Lab Results.

He prescribed me immediately 2 weeks Mynocycline.

2 x 100 mg daily / Morning & Evening

Symptoms improved and Less Discharge

End of Mino Treatment.

Discharge almost completely disappeared.

Discharge started slowly to creep back.

Thought it might be Residuals.

MG will infect any mucous membrane. A simple amount of research will show that it’s been detected in the throat, anus, and of course the genital areas of males and females. Chlamydia, Gonnohrea (sp), mycoplasma, and likely others, can infect the throat.

So in short: Yes, you can get Mgen through BBBJ.

There are several reports online about people who received it via Oral.

I don't get it, on the first results you get on google search, Doxy followed by moxifloxacin is recommended.

I came down with Mycoplasma Genitalium a few years ago. All test came back neg. I was described azitromax from two different doctors. However, the symptoms came back once the treatment ended.

Only after visiting a specialist it was determined to be Mycoplasma Genitalium. Doxy 14 days was not enough. Symptoms came back after treatment.

Another treatment , cant remember the name, symptoms came back after treatment.

Finally 21 days with Minocyline killed it!

From infection to cured about 60 days!

All of this can be prevented by peeing afterwords because no bacteria survives alkaline environment. Then disinfecting with Betadine and you would not get infected.

After being infected the only thing that will work are antibiotics but the problems is that many people stop the treatment before the bacteria is fully eliminated from the system and that leads to antibiotic resistant bacteria if you get infected again.

So do the treatment until the end and next time do what is necessary to prevent being infected.

If peeing can certainly helps to wipe out your utrethrea from some residues, there is no way I will put betadine on my dick. I"d like to see some medical studies about that too

Yes wipe like you do in a wound it will kill any bacteria in the skin but for the uretra peeing is the best solution since i´m pretty sure injecting it up the uretra is probably painful and dangerous.

Betadine does not burn like alcohol. I had a bad experience when i though putting alcohol after shower would be a good idea for additional cleaning.I never tried again because it burns and for long seconds that seem to last forever😬 But Betadine is innocuous it does not burn or anything and there is plenty of studies on betadine over the years for several uses.

Every time I read "peeing will..." I have to disregard everything after because by then it is already too late!
