April Suites

Has anyone stayed at April Suites?, in particular the Junior Suite (65m). I managed to secure the room for £300 for 8 nights over Christmas and NY in a flash sale but I can't find any info or pictures of the room.

Cheers

It is down a narrow back alley off 2nd road that is called 6. I've been here staying for a week.  Check out tomorrow.

The staff are good.  No problems with understanding English.  The pool is ok on the top floor.

I have never eaten here and doubt it is included let alone available.  Walk up the road to 7-11 probably 5 mins. Going the other way you can get to central festival in 10 mins max.

On a baht bus coming from the corner of 2nd road you should wait until you see the Siam commercial bank before pushing the buzzer.  Fortunately the alley is lit at night.  Also there are motorbike taxi guys set up on the same alley for convenience.

I just walked everywhere during my stay.  Even Soi 6 is about 10 mins.

Negatives? Don't really have any.  Use it as a cheap place to crash that is clean and decent.  Never saw a cockroach.

I'm in the same size room as above and not the larger one.

Ps. Please read tripadvisor or Agoda reviews.  I'm too busy to answer questions about my stay.

I stayed there in 2016 with Breakfast Included during booking.

It was an a la carte selection.

Six years ago? Yeah things were quite different then.

Each morning ive walked through the lobby.  No one is eating at their tables.

I will stay there again for sure.  Things will only get better in Pattaya now that things are back to arguably 80% what they were.  (Others have said a higher percentage but I'm being conservative).

We were the only ones ever eating in there when I was there, so that doesn't tell us anything.

Oh, that sounds like a lot!

Tell us - what has changed?

Just a brief synopsis.

Thanks.

I just checked on a bunch of websites and every single one of them still says April Suites offers breakfast.

I've messaged them directly just to double-check. I may stay there again at some point.

Can't wait to hear what's changed.

Don't get so aggressive.  I meant covid etc came into the picture.  Were you here during covid? Many places cut back their services.  Having not seen anyone eating there one would assume it's not being offered.  If it is then great.

Cheers

Some rooms are facing residential areas, where you can view there daily activities, while sipping drink !!!

People watching is one of my favourite past times in Pattaya, I'll be sure to check out the view before accepting any room.

Highly under-rated activity. Plenty of U-tube videos are more or less just this.

I stayed there for one night in June this year as my Condo was not ready.  I only had a standard room but it was okay - albeit basic.  It was very clean though.

I didn't like the shower over the bath I had, which would be a deal breaker for me staying longer.  The only other niggle I had is the pool is very small.

Not sure why people are saying everything has changed and services have been cut back, as I had breakfast there?  Cannot remember if breakfast was good or bad, but by me not remembering it probably meens it was just average!

I stayed there for one week, 5th floor.

Had a room opposite the elevater.

Everytime the elevator stopped,no matter which floor,

i heard the bell !

I told them, at the next customer service,

they should the bell turn down.

ok, i am a light sleeper. 🙂

It's been a few years, so who can say, but..

Generally friendly staff, only met one sour girl / nasty girl the entire time.

You can cut through the back of August Suites down the alley to get to Central Road quicker.

Excellent location to get to Soi 6 or Walking St.. can pick up a baht bus walking down from 2nd and Central.

You'll probably have to walk a bit, either to catch a bus on Bukhaow or hoofing it to get to LK Metro.

Can't say if they're still there, but close by mom-and-pop snck shops (and Mr Tao's shop!), along with Laundry foodsteps away.

It's not as nice as March hotel, but better location - not decrepit as August Suites, but a bit more out of the way.

Nice place.  I'd stay there again if prices were competitive.  You may wish to beware the food - I noticed cats in the kitchen at August Suites (anything ordered from April comes from August) and whole this WAS years ago, I doubt a culture (or open floor plan) that allowed cats in the past would change.

You're gonna have a blast!

August has the best location by far, but it’s just too old. Imho it has become a poor value. Unstable wifi, fewer and/or inconveniently located electrical outlets, outdated rooms, etc….the place needs to be renovated.

i haven’t stayed in April, but did stay in March many times. Location is indeed an issue as it’s a five minute walk to central down a narrow soi. Similar distance to second road.

By the way, May hotel also had a couple of floors in use when I was there in December.

Been looking at April Suites along with others on EXEPDIA TRAVEL, and its a place that I am considering, as it seems to be a reasonable price.

I’ve been looking at this for a change of scene for a visit after songkran. Seen £400 for 19 nights. Looks ok

April Suites was my go to hotel for years. I migrated there after they closed the old Pattaya Bay Resort. Basic but clean rooms, nice rooftop pool and the whole place is just mongers on holiday. Also, it's very quiet so it's great for guys who like their sleep.

Agree with all you say. I too migrated there after they closed PBR…decent hotel is April Suites, but it’s a little bit of a walk to the Baht bus at end of Buhakow (but can take short cut through August Suites via rear entrance).

I'm probably being really thick, but I couldn't find the cut through today. Is there something in particular I should be looking for?
