New! Spy have released a new Zap Kiss, a unique blend of sweet and tangy mayongchid with a hint of chili spice, perfectly creating an exciting new taste. 

The ladies tried it, being Thai with everything spicy, they were a bit meh, about it. I mixed it with Black Cock (lao khao), Thai rice whiskey, and they complained it was too strong, go figure.

The Spy drinks I tried have never been a favorite. "Spy" in Swedish and Norwegian means "Throw up", that's maybe taking it a bit far though...

But there was some new premixed cans on 7-eleven that was pretty good that I tried last trip. Would be nice if bars would have something similar. I also like the taste of Smirnoff Ice, but it's a bit too acidic and too much carbonated so it tends to make me a bit bloated.


This was pretty good. I think it was zero carbs as well.

Songkran photos from Monday 13th, second day for us in soi diana, we started on Sunday, the same as other bars in the local area.

And so far, the water splashing has continued beyond midnight. It is keeping the ladies and the customers busy all night. 

Cindy's bar on soi buakhao, in between 7/11 & Cheap Charlie's, stop water at 7PM, the bar has been empty, I understand why they are stopping, however it is nearly impossible to get to that bar and stay dry, they might as well continue into the night, same as the other bars in the area and let the staff enjoy themselves.

I may not visit that often but can attest that this is a cracking friendly spot.   I spend a lot of time in the down and dirty out in the open places but Buttercups is a refreshing contrast - it has an element of class, beautiful girls with a good, broad age range, sports galore and just a nice feel, whether for a quiet drinks whilst catching up on sport, or for gentle flirting perhaps leading to more afterwards. If I was a newbie to town, I think this would be a very comfortable starting point.

The technical issues in the sports lounge above the bar have been resolved, we are back to normal, all your favourite sports can be watched in comfort and are available on demand, and we will be showing the EPL match Sunday night, West Ham UTD vs Leeds at 10PM.
