Anyone been to Casa Pascal breakfast buffet lately?  I used to go there fairly regularly.

I went there in March. Same same. I stayed in his VT6 condo last year. Great guy. I’ve never been overly fond of his buffet though.

It's a shame they no longer do the Seafood brunch buffet anymore.  It was a great deal for the price.  The dinner buffet is way more expensive by comparison.  Hopefully with increased tourism they'll bring it back again.

+1 for the Hilton Breakfast Buffet. Two months ago there was a great spread.

With the new executive lounge, I believe there is going to be a better buffet offering that varies throughout the day.

I can’t recall any dinner buffets when I was there.

Which menu do you usually take?

I have done the top one a few times, but the 2nd level menu is really more than enough. There were a couple of items I ‘had to have’ on the top level menu.

It was mediocore. Very limited choice of food for buffet.

any better breakfast buffet now when Casa Pascal is closed?

No bacon?

I think for 200B, worth a stab, if has bacon.

I noticed that on the Hilton Pattaya FB page, they made a post recently about their different themed buffets and it lists the Friday afternoon seafood buffet as being back.  Anyone on the ground able to verify that it's back?  It's half the price of the dinner seafood buffet and with all the grilled river prawns you can eat I always found it a pretty good deal.

I like this one, just paste it in Google maps:

ร้านอาป๋าทะเลเผา&หมูกะทะ สาขาจอมเทียน

400baht, a lot of choice, seafood, some fish, meat (cooked and raw), dessert, ice cream, drinks included. It's better to get there around 5pm.

We did the sea food buffet not long after they restarted it. As they charge an extra 100bt for it, IMO not worth it as better quality and prices are available, say at the Nauclua sea food market. I enjoy Hilton buffets, just think the friday one is a bit of a rip.

Seafood Buffet in Jomtien is absolutely huge. They have a wide range of fresh seafood including live prawns and crabs. They also have Thai curries, international food and deserts all included in the buffet but the all you can eat seafood is the main attraction. Very popular with Thais. Great price too.

Funnily enough, so did I.

First off, the price is up.  750 baht, but that includes VAT and 10% service fee.  So I had buffet and a bottled water and the total was 820 out the door.  Which is more than the previous price, but less than what I was expecting when they told me 750 when I walked in.

I last had the buffet pre-COVID and it just felt like the pickings now are slimmer than before.  The cooked entrees looked meh, there were few selections for sushi/sashimi, and there wasn't even much in the way of salad.  I'm not a big dessert person and nothing in the dessert section made me want to try.  I'm pretty sure they had a charcuterie area before, but now it's just multiple types of bologna.

So the only reason I went to this buffet before COVID was the grilled river prawns, and they're still there.  They look smaller than before and I felt like the person grilling was inconsistent.  A few of the prawns I had seemed a little undercooked.  I also had a lot of the peel and eat shrimp on ice.  Those were very good, especially with the Thai seafood sauce.  Much better than shrimp at American buffets, for sure.

If you load up on multiple plates of the shrimp and river prawns, I believe you can get your money's worth.  But outside of that, the buffet seems a shadow of it's former self and not really worth the cost.

Oh, and if you're going to eat the shrimp and prawns, get the disposable gloves that they have sitting on a table so your hands don't smell like seafood the rest of the day.

Did you hear someone smash a glass? I was so embarrassed lol. First time for me 😬 I was there about 12:30.

I don’t bother with the gloves I just wash my hands with soap after. I felt the river prawns were the same as size as normal. I did get one or two undercooked slightly as did you.

Yeah it’s more expensive now and I think there were less deserts as before and they only had roast ham and chicken yesterday I was looking forward to the roast beef.

Mine came to 870baht including a (smashed) coke and VAT. I’ll be back it’s been my go to on a Friday for the last 8 years or so excluding obviously when they put it on hold due to Covid etc.

I was sitting a few tables away and heard the cup smashing on the ground.  Lol.

Compared to the West, it's not a bad deal for a buffet.  Even some of the best Vegas buffets I've been to were pretty lacking on the seafood.  It's just that in the context of Thailand and what you can get here for the money, there seem to be better options these days.

Stayed in the Hilton again last trip and tried some of their lunch buffets. Every day a different theme with Saturday and Sunday the brunch buffet.

Not the cheapest but the ones I tried were damn good.
