Leaving Suitcase In Locker

herds

Recommended Posts

I'm going from:

BKK > Tokyo

then 10 days later

Tokyo> BKK > London

I want to leave my big suitcase in BKK and pick it up before my connecting flight to London leaves.

Has anyone left a case before? is the place to leave it accessible even if you are on a connecting flight?

Thanks in advance.

Not certain about Thailand policies, but from what I have seen traveling to around 20 different countries, NO unattended bags allowed in any airports any more. All of those lockers have been removed or blanked off in all the airports I have seen lately.

Looks like you need to take it with you.

In 2006, after a three week visit to Thailand, I was able to check in my large suitcase into a longterm storage area at Hong Kong International Airport. They x-ray your luggage and you pay a daily fee for storing it there until you come back. I then headed to Macau with my Hong Kong friends for about a week with a lighter load. Upon return I paid my storage fee and then I checked in all my luggage for my flight home to the USA. I suggest that you might check the Suvarnabhumi Airport website or e-mail them to see if they offer this type of service.

:001_Sawasdee: check out unaccompanied baggage i don't know if they do it now but at one time you could send it ahead off you departure time think it may be cheaper than left luggage at BKK then you can collect at LHR

I used to live and work in Yokohama and traveled fairly often to to Qatar and UK on business trips with "stopovers" in Thailand. Often used to drop a suitcase into the left luggage in BKK airport. Never had any problems whatsoever.

thanks for the help guys, i',m gonna try and contact them. If not i'll find out when I get there, I tend to get to airports early anway so i'll have time.

I hate having to take luggage and am always fearful that i'll be over the limit even though i'm like 10kg under everytime
