Thinking of heading to Phuket with a sometimes LLT from Bangkok. Nothing lavish or fancy, just near a nice beach and with a pool and Wi-Fi with a few eating choices close by. 
I  had a mandatory stay in Phuket last year during covid restriction and it was deserted so I didn't get a proper idea of the island . Don't need access  to ST or LT this coming trip. Thanks .

i'd look into something close to nai harn beach (close to rawai) if you will rent a motorbike (or car).  

if you're without transportation, the alternative would be a resort at bang tao beach.
