Safe for work theme

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to be able to get theme we could swap to that removes images/avatars/signatures etc so it's possible to read at the office / in public without some of the more intense images loading.

I recall some forums having an option to allow printing threads that'd strip out most images/color but couldn't find anything similar.

If on a PC then just install the uOrigin adblocker and go through and block all the stuff you don't want to see by right clicking on the image and select Block.

You will see a popup asking you to confirm the location and filename which you can edit.

So you can even block every image like *.gif or jpg to remove everything bar the text.

A lot of the adverts have suggestive images too.

Quick tutorial...right click with the mouse on the image you want to remove and select Block...

image.thumb.png.a6d5f4086d4eac97a7f06c9625006dae.png

As you can see the folder and filename is displayed which you can edit before clicking Create.

Just clicking Create will block just the image you right clicked on and selected Block on...

image.thumb.png.fcff0aaed9627ae9c95c917f6754b057.png

The full file path in the example is:

||content.invisioncic.com/t286239/monthly_2022_03/ThaiSingleReisen.png.4b15d8731726b87ab884308ab13b68c4.png.92ea895a42cb3461cbd02e8473e530d5.png

You can then edit it to something like:

||content.invisioncic.com/*/*/*.png

To remove all PNG image files from being displayed...be careful on how many things you want to block as the website can start to look weird if you block too much.

Normally PNG files are used for static web site images...GIF for small images like the avatar images underneath each username, and JPG for posted images from users.

Once created just press the F5 key to refresh the page and that image will no longer be displayed.
