STV extension issues

Shawny

Recommended Posts

Hi I just tried to extend my STV visa at pattaya immigration. The man would only accept a rental agreement to prove residence for the next 3 months. I told him 'it's air bnb they don't give contracts.' The air b nb landlord did register me on the tm30 app which is all that was required when I renewed in Phuket. Please help :(

I have a friend who had an stv visa and owns his own condo. He said it was a palaver getting it extended and in the end needed the services of a visa agent to extend it for him even though he had all the required documents. Good luck.

Yeah, sounds like agent help could be worth a try. The one I use is called VIP Visa. There's an often recommended one on soi Post Office called something like Maneerat. Hope it works out.

hmm ....maneerat

Wanted +6k baht to open a bank account.

Suggested i do a dodgy 3 month ED visa, then back to back 9 month volunteer visa's to bridge the gap until i'm age 50. Which didn't even bridge the gap and wasn't sure she could do volunteer visa's lol.

Maneerat charged me 4 days ago on Monday to open a Bangkok bank account 3750 Baht which included a year’s insurance and a 500 baht deposit.

I already have a kasikorn bank account but wanted a back up .

They've done it for free. No doubt for a reason, probably you give them other business. Also, i was on a tourist visa with no TM30 or anything.

(Mot's visa services got mine done for 3000b and was able to bypass the insurance)

Just to add, the unimpressive part to me was the 2.5 year visa idea they came up with, not the bank account cost.

They should've said no we can't ...and suggested a proper ED visa or elite.
