I'm trying to book a ticket for Thai person to fly BKK - LHR direct.

I found a great deal on EVA Air however, they require travelling person to show credit used to book the flight at check-in

As the credit card is in the UK and the passenger in Thailand this isn't possible.

Also to make it harder, they also require the credit card to show the same name as the passenger.

Head against brick wall!!

Anyone know of any airline that doesn't need to see the credit card at check in??

Thanks

I flew EVA air about two weeks ago to get to thailand, and I didn't need to show a credit card.

I've had the same with Gulf and El Ethiad.

I just print out the booking they sent me and show them that along with my passport.

Are you sure the credit card is compulsory?

I always pay with my switch card, as credit cards often incur an extra charge.

Maybe this is why I get away with just showing them a printout.

Surely you can name the person flying as someone different paying for the ticket?

I spoke with eva air, their policy is passenger = card holder & to be shown at checkin. Can pay cash at one of their offives or use an agency in Thailand, but ask if credit card to be shown before booking with them.

I just checked BA website and they seem to fine, need to look at some others now

Never been asked for my cc but then again my passport matches my ticket.

It's pretty normal in the UK - both Etihad and Qatar have the same policy. I presume it's something to do with CC fraud.

Cathay Pacific has the same policy. The credit card holder has to come in to the check in counter if they aren't the one traveling. And every time I took Cathay they asked me to show the credit card used to purchase the ticket. But I have booked with travel agency's before and got an electronic ticket and I didn't have to show credit card those times.
