40 years ago in Bangkok closing time on Soi Cowboy was 1 AM. Only the Thermae cafe was open after that and not legally.

Eh? I've been in cowboy gogo's to 2 am. After that there was plenty of options.

I didn't even realize that midnight is still the limit. It certainly hasn't been noticeable partying in Bangkok in recent weeks.

Needless to say, to me it makes very little sense.
