8 years in Thai jail, but being a Farang in there for murdering and dismembering a Thai girl, he'll go through a living hell everyday he serves, in there.

But could be as good as a death sentence anyway, chances are that he will leave the prison in a box, sometime between now and when his 8 year term is up.

Thats what i was thinking and i would like to know why he got such a light sentence. maybe because he paid some money

to the girls family. but to think this murderous goon is going to be back on the streets again very soon.

Surely that depends on how much money he has , it's Thailand after all ...

He has already spent + 10 million Baht in compensation to the family , I assume there were other payments not disclosed to reduce his sentence... 

As long as he keeps paying , I assume his  life in prison could be made easier , single cell , food etc ..

Not 8 years.  The story I read said he will probably be able to serve part of that in a UK prison once he pays his fine.  Also, he may not be thrown in with the worst people for an 8 year sentence.

I remember this case. I sort of suspected this outcome. Guy is rather wealthy with a property in Hua Hin, another in Ibiza plus a stake in a hotel. Paid a fortune for legal all the way to the EU courts to a avoid extradition for close to 5 years. 

An ordinary Thai will get the death sentence for killing someone which is then commuted to life imprisonment because of a confession. In this case, he chopped her up and got  8 years. Laughable. 

I believe Stickboy had a hand in his identification.

But you send them on their way. OK, bad choice.

Why kill the girl and chop her up?

It needs an explanation, maybe from the guy.

He denied it all these years until this hearing. Btw he has been linked to 2 other murders. But nothing will come off it. This case went the distance because the certain owners in Nana Plaza felt for the girl pursued it all the way to Spain and provided the info to the Guardia. They also provided his full name, passport photo page and his Hua Hin address locally.

Suspected of two other murders, details? Stickboy apparently having a hand in the ID is eerie..imagine realizing the perp who murdered the poor girl, and chopped her up, is THAT guy you know. It's amazing such a vile specimen will likely be back in Ibiza sunning himself and sipping a sangria, ruminating over his heinous acts, possibly planning more. Let's hope "unfortunate" circumstances overtake him in the Thai jail.

He killed the girl because he is an entity comprised purely of shorts, vest and flip flops. As a cop tasked with interviewing ted bundy said, he's just an empty suit.
