I'm very disappointed to say at least. For me as a fully vaccinated traveler there are almost no changes at all.

But I'm happy for the bar owners and other in the nightlife industry, for them today's CCSA meeting was a great step in the right direction.

I'd hoped that the Thailand Pass would be scrapped and that bars would be open at least a few hours later.  At least it's some progress.

At least I don't have to ask for a food menu at my favorite gogo or short time bar.

Still best to check what's on the Menu before ordering though 555

this poor and pathetic response makes you wonder whether they want western tourists back in Thailand. i know  from

reading media reports a lot of ordinary tourists are put off by the Thai Pass and the insurance demands.

Quote regarding entertainment venues,

Customers must present a vaccination document that indicates that they are fully vaccinated.

And what counts as fully vaccinated, 2 doses or 3?

"both employees and customers must prevent close contact and must be wearing facial masks throughout the service."

Is this new or the existing RULES?

Every hole a goal.

Condoms kill boners. Save the boners.

Stop the Vagilantes.

I also wondered about that, does it mean just the service staff to wear masks, or both service staff and customers, when inside an entertainment venue.

like most of these ridiculous RULES and regulations in reality they will be ignored exactly as they are doing so now.

Existing. In someone's mind at least.

Underwhelming news today. Perhaps the biggest item, is that soapys might be able to open in June.

Also, the big unknown is how RULES are going to be enforced (as is always the case.) I'm cautiously optimistic.

Not entirely true. Early closing is still very much happening. There are after hour options. But it's not a big scene.

It's 12.00pm officially, but the police have given an unofficial closing time of  2 am for the bars and 3 am for the disco's.

But can revert back to midnight for no reason at all on the rare occasion, or when the Bangkok cops are in town.

You don't have to worry because it won't be enforced.

I thought the same about the stupid rule about showing a negative ATK test, to get entry to a restaurant or bar.

It was a complete pain in the ass, and it was enforced for quite a long time before everyone came to their senses , and dumped the idea. And currently there are a few places on WS that still won't let you in without one.

Got a feeling that the proof of vaccine thing, is going to be the same.

There’s an old saying, believe nothing of what you read and half of what you see.

If an ‘ordinary tourist’ is put off from the now very simple Thai Pass and minimum insurance procedure perhaps they should be renamed ‘simpleton tourist’ because in reality it’s not exactly difficult to do.

Yeah, that's why I said there are options. But limited.

Most places. Including my favourite bar as well as most gogo's abide by the early closing rule.

Am I reading that article correctly: we will be able to have a soapy massage but will need to wear a mask?
