Pattaya Music Festival Meeting

On Monday morning Khun Wirawat, one of the city's deputy mayors, drew the short straw and was given the task of chairing the security preparation meeting for the upcoming Pattaya Music Festival which commences on Friday 20 March and continues until Sunday evening 22 March. The meeting was attended by a large number of local officials and police who all looked on earnestly as the security arrangements were outlined. As well as Pattaya and Banglamung police there will be around 1,000 volunteers as well as naval personnel from the nearby Sattahip base tasked with providing security for patrons and performers for the three days of the festival. Three stages will be erected, one at the Bali-Hai port at the south end of Walking Street, one near Central Pattaya road, and one between Sois 4 and 5 in central Pattaya. Participating groups from overseas include Kym Jin Sha from China, Kenny Kwan from Hong Kong, Shinee and Girls Generation, both from South Korea. Musical tastes will run the gamut from pop, rock and rhythm and blues to hip-hop. Classical musical enthusiasts are advised to try their own stereo system.

those stages are mental, nearly had beach road closed last night. As they take up a lane I would imagine chaos for the next few days
