?? Is This Bike For You ??

No

·       If you have never ridden a BIG BIKE (over 500cc)

·       If you are worried about the cost of parts and maintenance of a Premium brand

·       If you want to ride in the city

·       Repeat, If you have never ridden a BIG BIKE

Yes

·       If you want the ultimate motorcycle engineering experience

·       If you want a motorcycle that corners like it is on rails

·       If you want to go from 0 – OMG in 100 metres

·       If you have wanted brakes that pull you up just as quick

This was my first BMW and I am very impressed. But why am I selling it ?

I have ridden "Sports Tourers" for the last 17yrs, Yamaha FJR1300 to be exact. IMHO one of the best bikes ever made. I have finally got one here in Thailand. The FJR is more "Tourer" than "Sports", but that is what I wanted it for.

Whilst I waited for an FJR, the BMW came up and after flying to Phuket to test ride it I was 'sold' on it. Rode it back to Pattaya in one day.

What was not apparent at the time, but has become so since, is the BMW is more "Sports" than "Tourer", I really need a tourer.

I have the bike I want, now it's time to say goodbye to my BMW. I only use it once a week maybe, on group rides locally, it deserves much more attention that I can give it.

The BMW is the smoothest and most powerful bike I have ridden. Full stop.

You will need a highway and big balls to get the BMW K1200S' throttle on the stop. Acceleration is thrilling to say the least.

The BMW K1200S' comfort is better than many touring motorcycles and the electric screen is superb at making highway hauls totally relaxing. BMW’s panniers are quite small but don’t affect high speed handing like some larger aftermarket ones.

Factory extras for the BMW K1200S include the excellent Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA). This is operated by a switch on the handlebar and gives comfort, normal or sport settings, plus 1up, 2up, and Luggage.

Shaft drive means less maintenance and expense.

No accident (other than dropping off paddock stand when I forgot to put stand down !!)
