Yes, at least precovid, I’ve taken my temporary friend there for a feed.  
 

There are (were) freelancers about but not heaps.  They tended to be well dressed, quite classy looking, sit alone or with a friend with a drink that seems to last a long time.  Some of them are magnificent pool players and it’s quite fun to watch captain macho get humiliated.

if they catch your eye and smile, you’re on a winner.

Never stayed in the hotel, looked round it when it first opened but wasn't that impressed by the rooms.

The bar area always used to be a pickup place, eaten there a few times but never taken anyone. Beer Garden Soi 7 was my go to place!!
