I've wanted to try this place out for a while, it's near the river between the Mandarin Oriental and the Shangri-La.

Located at the intersection of Silom Road and Charoen Krung Road, near the Saphan Taksin BTS stop and the Sathon Pier.

Here's the lobby, these grand old hotels have some character.

Rooms are huge, 66 square meters, with bedroom, sitting room, large bathroom, and kitchenette with burners, microwave, and coffee and tea makers with a supply of tea bags and coffee packets.  My room was on the 21st floor, about a third the way up.  They charge an additional 1-2 thousand to stay above the 50th floor, but I think the rooms are the same.

I tried the pool which was on the 14th floor mezzanine level, but it wasn't really to my liking.  It was only waist deep and there were people having their breakfast.

No visit would be complete without a visit to the Sky Bar on the 62nd floor, the worlds highest rooftop bar, to enjoy the views while sipping a Hangover cocktail, made with 18 year old Chivas.  There were also a few restaurants up there, Sirocco, Chef's Table, and the two Michelin Star Mezzaluna.  Here's Sirocco, with the Sky Bar on the edge.

There's no seating around the bar so the cheap charlies can't milk a drink all night like in the GoGos.

Enjoyed my stay at the Lebua, can cross it off my bucket list.

Nice review and pics.  While I’ve never stayed in a room there, I’ve been to the SkyBar numerous times and Mezzaluna has always provided a fine spread.

I paid 4000 on Agoda without breakfast, only stayed a couple nights.  They had 24-hour room service but everything was prohibitively expensive, even the pad thai was 800++.  I didn't look at any menus for the restaurants up above, probably should have, but there were plenty of good places to eat near by.  For example, see my review of André, it's about a 5 minute walk.
