When revisiting a post it does not take me to where I left off

I looked around for this issue, and I am guessing I am doing something wrong.

When I go to a post I have been reading, it does not take me to where I left off, just back to page 1 then I have to scroll to where I had left off.

 

Can anyone advise?

Can't help on that but occasionally I get taken to random posts dated 2017.

Click the little icon immediately left of the title of the post - might be a circle or star depending on what you've done in the thread etc, but if you hover over the icon it'll say "Go to first unread post"

With the forum software upgrade, clicking on the topic title now takes you to the first unread post too.

Simple answer - it’s all under members control.

Either do as Kindred says OR you can change the default as follows.

Open your Account Settings

Click Content View Behaviour

If you want to go to “unread posts” select the TOP option as per screenshot.
