Condo

I wil hopefully be arriving in Thailand in February. Ticket is booked for 30 days. I'm after a condo on a baht bus route in Jomtien. I will however be renting a scooter so I would maybe consider Pratumnak.

Here's the kicker. I am going to try and extend my ticket for a further 39 days once I land in Thailand. It's a flexible ticket with BA. So I'm after somewhere for minimum 30 days but probably 60 days. None smoker.

I would be wanting a large flat screen TV. Balcony. High floor with sea view. Direct internet router. Kitchen if possible.

I have stayed at VT2A with dancewathers on 3 occasions in the passed. But for whatever reason their prices have seemed to have gone up by about 20%. A room at the same time I've had before is now showing 21k a month. A steep increase with no visible tenants booked.booked.

ideally I don't want to pay more than 15k a month preferably less. I hope someone can help.

There heaps of places for 10k to 15k and nice

Getting a room with it own internet will be a bit harder for a while inless you try centara or grand as they have comunal WIFI or just geta package  on your phone.

hiking prices for an return travellers  that's not going to happen ask and you might receive a discount  or look on baht and sold of FB market place

This one looks great and direct from owner and every thing you want.

Would have been easier if you googled it yourself.

I posted this in another thread on Thursday:

Just my recent experience, I’ve switched to condos since 2015 and have had several stays since of about a month or so.

It’s not easy finding reliable agents for short term stays in a wide range of condos.

I’ve used AirBnB twice and it was fine. Other times the places I was looking at were too expensive on the site.

I’ve also used 3 different agents who specialise in a couple of condo buildings. Again, I’ve found them all fine - though one is really a ‘turn up and book’ rather than book in advance online.

The 3 agents were:

Dancewatchers (3 times). Easy to deal with, reliable, you choose the exact condo - but on the expensive side. They mainly deal with VT2A and VT6, with one or two in VT5C;

http://www.viewtalaycondos.com/ an easy-going American bloke who rents condos in VT7, VT1 and VT5. I don’t know if he’s still operating as the website doesn’t seem to have been updated recently. He was/is a member on here though not really active and he also uses AirBnB. Again, pretty easy to deal with and you choose the exact condo;

The third is a Thai lady who operates from the reception area of Jomtien Complex Condo and has a lot of units in the building. Booking really needs to be face to face and allocation is a bit random - though you can look at the unit before agreeing.

If I was staying for longer, say 3 months or so, then I’d book a hotel for a couple of days and go into buildings I was interested in and find the agents on the ground floor of the buildings - most seem to have at least one.

I’ve now stayed in VT2A (twice), VT5C, VT7 (twice), Jomtien Complex Condo (twice) and Neo Condo. I’ve looked at units in several other condos.

Ok

Yes it hard getting a place for 2 months that far out  a when the owner wants a 12month lease

Put your self i there shoes would your hold a place now for a booking in February.

Look what's around at the end of January then ask and make a reasonable offer.

On my first condo stay many years ago

I got the advertisers LINE details from Airbnb rental and did a cash deal.
