Any Flooding on the Darkside Sept 21?

Recommended Posts

Moving to Pattaya next year and the GF and I normally stay in a condo in Jomtien

We are looking at getting a house on the Darkside

I've looked pre covid around Khao Talo and the estates near the chilled

What is the flooding situation east of the train tracks?

I've seen the videos from the 2 "events" in the last week, looked a bit damp in Pattaya and even Jomtien

My crystal ball isn't working, so don't know if there will be flooding on Sept 21.

When there is flooding in the area, Khao Talo becomes a raging torrent and some of the side sois are flooded. Best to check with the neighbors as to the flooding situation before making the move.

you can tell your G/F that the forecast for the Parkside is going to be light s/w winds easing in the afternoon , maybe a light shower or 2 but she can expect a GOOD 6 or 8 inches overnight !

otherwise Dustin Hoffman from Rainman may be able to help

you can all ways check weather reports Anywhere in the world by googeling BOM then the name of the place , so in your case  ...... bom Pattaya Thailand  , the only thing is I think they only do 7 day forecasts

I've been living at Chok Chai 1 for 10 years and we've never had the slightest problem.

All the water from the East drains down to flood Pattaya town. Might have a lively trickle on the roads on occassion but I never known it to flood in the way it does in Pattaya

When the rain is coming down hard, two of the main roads into the Darkside will turn into rivers (Khao Talo and Khao Noi, usually have to wait till the rain slows down then they are passable after and hour or so.

Soi Nern Plab Wan will have a couple of areas where water builds up, and Soi Siam Country Club is usually ok.

If you are looking at settling near Chilled then you are safe, it is higher up.
