Hi Folks,

 

Was wondering if any boardies out there can recommend some good video editing software. My Sony HandyCam came with its own "Picture Package" software but it has limitations. If anyone knows of any good reasonably priced or even free software that can do this stuff as well as add music tracks, menus, etc, then please let me know!!

i use Sony vegas 7 with my hidef footage that can add tracks and menus etc , its easy enough to use , i dont condone piracy but theres loads of "free" program for doing what your wanting to do if you look around

you could try ulead video studio, its pretty basic but should be easy to use? :P

For a Sony the Vegas software comes more handy but both are fairly complicated for a complete beginner. The question is how deep the OP is planning to dive into movie making, IMHO...

Pinnacle Studio is good and you can download a free trial version of Studio 12 at the Pinnacle website. I did it and have been using the freebie for a few weeks now transferring past VHS of my kids, etc.
