Panmanee Hotel (Phi phi Islands) - april 2019

This is a review of the Panmanee hotel in the Phi Phi Islands. I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in April 2019.

Before my trip took place, I looked up the necessary information on Tripadvisor, Google Maps and Google. The reason I chose this hotel was the good value for money and the location. Because the hotel is located close to Ton Sai Pier, there was no need to do much walking on arrival and this also saved time on departure.

Arrival + hotel Staff

When we arrived at the Phi Phi Islands one of the hotel staff was waiting for us. He handled our bags and escorted us all the way to the hotel front desk.

The staff at the front desk was very helpful while asking questions and spoke good English. When checking out, the room had to be checked and this was done at maximum 10 minutes time so that we did not have to wait too long.

Room

Me and my mate had booked a standard double room with twin beds. The total price (including VAT, accommodation surcharge and tourist tax) was € 410 (at that time 15,400 baht) for 7 nights. You can see several photos at the end of this post.

The room had all the standard necessities such as clean glasses, tea, hairdryer, safe, large fridge and air conditioning among others. The air conditioning worked very well and made little noise.

In terms of hygiene, both the room and the bathroom were clean on arrival. Clean towels were provided every day. The room itself (floor) was not swept clean during our stay. This was noticeable by the amount of sand in the room. We had been to the beach occasionally so there was still sand in our shoes. The sand was still in our room the next day and the days after. This is of course only a very minor flaw but still worth mentioning.

Breakfast

Our booking included breakfast. It was not very extensive but it was tasty and sufficient. Every time we sat down at the table we got a fresh coconut.
