JW Marriott Hotel Review

I've stayed here before a couple times but not since 2004.  I made a couple recent visits and its held up very well I think.  Room rate was 2350, excluding breakfast.

Room quality is still a high standard.

My biggest complaint is the small bathtub.  I'm 188 cm and found it cramped, but a walk-in shower is also available.

I used to enjoy a cigar in their comfortable lounge.  Unfortunately, that's been prohibited for a decade, and even the cigar store is empty now.

The Second Floor Manhattan Lounge has a happy hour from 4 PM until 9 PM, half price while you relax and listen to soft jazz.  I haven't tried the steakhouse, preferring El Gaucho on Soi 19, but I'm sure it must be very good.

I didn't try the pool.  The informational channel spoke of a 500 baht day pass and I didn't wish to pay extra for a swim, but I can't confirm that.  They were offering 50% discount on their buffets but I don't do buffets so I went over to Fitzgeralds on Soi 4 for steak and eggs.

Alternately, Fitzgerald's Pub offers a 99 baht early bird breakfast, pay extra for coffee.

Gone are the days when you could bring a girl in through the side entrance past the cigar store and directly to the elevator, as previously mentioned even the cigar store is no more.  Because of covid, all entry is now through the main entrance with a temperature check and I wouldn't feel comfortable navigating this crowd with a Nana Plaza GoGo girl young enough to be my grand daughter, so here are a few oldies but goodies from 2004 scanned from film.

This is Bae, I brought her for a week from Peppermint A-GoGo in Pattaya and we set up a fuck nest.  She worked as one of the 'sports girls' that danced nude behind the glass in the corner stage when the bar was upstairs where the Marine Disco is now.  The JW Marriott used to supply one of these fruit plates daily, pictured in the lower left.

This sweetie came from Soi Cowboy. I can't recall her name but she was fun to shag.

The JW Marriott is a good hotel, there's no direct access to the BTS system like at the Sofitel and Sheraton Grande, but they give you a sky bridge to Ploenchit Center for whatever that's worth.

I’m anxious to stay at the Hyatt Regency.  For five years I watched it being constructed from my bedroom window across the street at Trendy Condo.
