Asia's Dirtiest Hotels

Recommended Posts

TripAdvisor has published its lists of the dirtiest hotels in the world. In the Asia Pacific section, three Bangkok hotels - First hotel, Woraburi Sukhumvit hotel and Resort and the Royal Pakview hotel - make it into the bottom ten Dirtiest Hotels in Asia.

In fairness, there are far dirtier hotels in Bangkok than those three, it's just that the travelers who submit TripAdvisor reviews aren't likely to stay at the super-dumps. But there are much, much better options than these three "list of shame" hotels.

I stayed at the Woraburi Sukhumvit one night when the Thai GF had failed to find us a place to stay. Instead, we had to get a taxi to take us around a few places and we ended up at the Woraburi. The room had a broken bed headboard, big stains on the walls, and cell-like decor. Not good. Paid up and went elsewhere after that night. It's a shame really as the location is good and there's a nice outside eating area.

I've stayed at Royal Parkview once, definitely shows signs of age, and they hit me with an 800 baht joiner. :)

Never again, but hard to imagine it being worse than the Miami.

I was going through the photos and the pictures of bedbugs is really a bit disturbing. I am pretty forgiving when it comes to hotels, but then again I usually don't get bitten throughout the night. If I had bugs in my bed I think I would lose it.

Penney Black on Soi Cowboy.

Badger: You're definitely right about the PB. I've had some good luck after hours in their bar though. As far as the dirtiest in Asia, I guess Trip Advisor's never been to Cambodia . wj
