Citadines - 4 New Properties in Pattaya

Just saw that Citadines is building a number of large hotels in Pattaya, so if anyone sees any large projects around town (which I think some may have already mentioned), it could be one of them. A large hotel in Jomtien and a 150 unit hotel on Soi Buakhow (Citadines Central Pattaya) slated to open in 2024.

Looks like they have a large property on Soi 13/3, expected to open this year.

somerset hotels brand is part of the citadines group. 324 units this hotel build is on second rd dead opposite central festival photos taken today

the build is where the crane is. the dark building is the Hilton which sits on top of central festival

 

i read elsewhere the projected opening date is april 2022

there is nothing at 13/3 and second road other than old existing buildings. it's possible that the site on buakaow is where the tuesday /friday market used to be. last week the market was moved to the other side of buakaow to where the baht buses used to turn round. time will tell but there was not much point in moving the market unless you intended to build something

The local story is that the reducing number of stallholders couldn't pay the rent and had to move to the smaller pitch.

This sounds more likely.

possible. however the piece of ground they have moved to is  bigger than the bit they left. the tented area is much smaller but the size of that section is way larger

True, but presumably they're only paying for the part they're on and the rest is still car park or whatever ?

a hotel called De Bua. the hotel build on Soi 15 by the buakaow end is called the amethyst (spelling) and that's a katesseri development the projected opening date for the  central pattaya citadines presumably buakaow is 2024 and both of these will be ready before that date
