I have plans to stay a longer time hopfully quite soon.

Then i want som peace and quiet so i thought Bang Saray.

Ho do i get in to town (Pattaya) in the best and cheapest way?

Is the sea swimmable there?

Baht buses run along Sukhumvit Road. They take about 30 minutes depending how often they stop.

Yes, in general the beach and sea are clean in Bang Saray plus there are several really nice Navy beaches close by.

I’ve always thought Bang Saray is definitely somewhere I’d investigate if I was going to stay for a few months or more

I have lived here for about 15 months. It is a nice spot, the beach is usually better than Jomtien or Pattaya. However the sand can be swallowed up at high tide if walking on the beach is your thing.

The Navy beach is indeed the best one down here, I would say avoid weekends, but maybe not so bad with Covid, and I am not sure it is open to be honest as have not tried since this this virus hit....

Regards, Atlas.

Had advice, many years ago now, from a work colleague who was one of the original crew who showed me the ropes back in mid nineties( if I recall correctly) his words of wisdom if you move to Thailand you would have to stay away from the centre of Pattaya cos we party so hard that it may be bad for your health.....He would stay up to 3 months at a time some years BTW...

I think he mentioned Bang Sarang as an alternative, Any opinions??

looked pretty cool on a recent You Tube blog...

I am assuming not over developed as such and you would find good accomodation at a reasonable price compared to Pattaya and/or Jomtien? But still be close enough to party a few nights a week?

As I said any comments greatly received....
