ensuite bathroom?

I did a search, and found no clear answer to this -- what the heck is ensuite bathroom some places mention with their rooms?

I saw this in Sabai Resort I think, and other places too.

I hope it doesn't mean one of those deals where a bathroom is shared by 2 rooms?

"En-suite" means that the bathroom is connected to the bedroom and that its private meaning you dont share it with another room.

& if it doesnt mention en-suite its likely it has a shared bathroom.

Thanks for the replies!

And the last one -- I never even considered that -- but, I assume if it isn't one of the lower-priced places (500 - 1,000 baht?), that it would have a normal private bathroom?

I'm gonna start reading these hotels websites more carefully, and email them to sak, if nothing is said specifically about the bathrooms, before I make an advance booking.

But, for Pattaya and Phuket, I was thinking I should be able to just show-up and find a place, since there are so many places to stay anyway.

Then I can ask to see the room before taking one.

I'm really interested how you searched it??? Just type ensuite in to google and open the wiki bathroom article that will come as one of the first results and all should be answered!! It's not rocket science

Almost every place in the 500-1000 baht range has a private bathroom!!!

Dont worry about the bathroom situation. If you have never been to thailand, then I can explain that the only times you will share a bathroom is if you are staying in a 100-150 baht room.

Anything that is over 500 baht, I cannot think of anytime or anywhere where I have heard or seen a room that doesnt have its own toilet and shower room.

At the cheaper end, the only thing you may need to confirm with a cheap room hotel is if it has hot water running in the shower.

I already did that -- I said I searched.

Fact is, there are many ambiguous answers there from Google -- some say one thing, others say something different. So, which is to be believed?

Duh -- I be dumb? Duh. Forget it.

Thanks -- that's what I figured -- since I will usually be staying at a place in the 900 -- 1,500 range, I shouldn't have any problems then.
