As expected from a 5 star luxury hotel the service is second to none.

If there is anything negative to say about this hotel it's the rooms are aged and kind of out of date certainly needs some work done however other then this everything is of the highest standard location not the worst very close to the main malls and a short taxi ride to P .BURGOS street depending on the hectic Manila traffic!

Peninsula is good enough, with fairly quiet rooms, unlike the hotels closer to P. Burgos. I  enjoyed being so close to the Greenbelt shopping mall(s). It was fairly hot weather, but still didn’t mind the walk to P. Burgos, or further up Makati Ave to the Century City mall.

I was not impressed with their breakfast buffet. This was in April, 2022 so perhaps it is some covid 19 related restrictions, but simply not enough food choices. Coffee was marginal, but fortunately Starbucks isn’t far away.

Decided to go for a workout in their gym, and masks were required. The Filipinos are strict on that, so I didn’t use their very nice gym. Of course their massive lobby had upwards of 70 to 80 people, socializing, and enjoying aperitifs,etc, almost nobody wearing a mask.

I would give this hotel a chance, but not until 100 percent of covid restrictions are lifted, whatever Alert Level that is. I would have preferred a condo somewhere else in Makati, but this stay was unable to find any decent Air BnB.

My fav hotel in Manila by far. Book it using Amex FHR, comp'd breakfast, 5k room service, late check out and upgrade when I booked before covid. Feels super safe, good location and tons of hotel cars if you're in a time crunch. 

Really like their small smoking bar also (when I used to smoke). 

Price is high but not outrageous compared to Thailand.
