black teeth

Recommended Posts

I recently watched the movie pee mak recently and quickly noticed they all had dark teeth. From what I can tell, some say it was a hygiene thing, some say it was a dye for fashion or religious reasons, some say it was from betel nut use but that seems to be more of a red color. anyone know its purpose and when/why it stopped?

I just watched that with my daughter recently. One of the big advantages I see to having Netflix is all the Thai content that also has English subtitles. It's been great. I've found other sources for English subtitles, but Netflix makes it very easy, and as time goes by, I appreciate "easy" more and more. :-)
